2017 Reptile and Amphibian Field Course

2017 Reptile and Amphibian Field Course

Dates:

Main Course: Friday May 26 to Sunday May 28, 2017

Optional Additional Species Identification Day: Thursday May 25

Location:

Beausoleil Island, Georgian Bay Islands National Park

The beautiful Beausoleil Island is about 150 kms north of Toronto, just a short boat ride away from Honey Harbour. The island is located along a transition zone between the open rock barrens and windswept pines of the Canadian Shield and the hardwood forests and deeper soils characteristic of Great-Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands. As a result of this transition, as well as the shoreline ecosystems, the island has many different habitats that support an incredible diversity of herpetofauna.

Cost:

Main Course: $600 + HST

Main Course plus Optional Additional Species Identification Day: $765 + HST

Prices include meals, accommodations at Camp Kitchikewana, and boat transportation to and from the island.
